Nikki Gardham was born in Essex, and is now living and working in London.
Nikki studied at Cambridge School of Art before being awarded a scholarship to the Royal Drawing School, completing the postgraduate Drawing Year in 2013.
After graduating, she began teaching on the Royal Drawing School’s Young Artists programme, for which she has taught at the National Gallery, Royal Academy, Fleming Collection and Foundling Museum, among others.
Nikki currently teaches as a freelance art educator, planning and delivering practical art and discursive workshops for the Royal Drawing School, Dulwich Picture Gallery, the Wallace Collection and other public galleries across London.
Nikki has exhibited regularly in London, including shows at Christie’s London and Dulwich Picture Gallery and the Mall Galleries. In 2018, she was selected to exhibit in the Sunday Times Watercolour Competition.
Nikki works primarily with drawing, painting and print. Space and habitable imagery are key subjects within her work.
